Version diff says hidden elements were removed

I just used version diff for the first time, and was alarmed to get a "6 items removed" notice. On further inspection, it turns out that the items were not *removed* but merely *hidden* from one version to the next.

Surely "hidden" is different from "removed"? I would only expect the latter if it was actually deleted in the model. I hide/unhide things constantly from one version to the next, so if diff results are haired up by that the value of diff'ing goes to zero 😞

Trivial to duplicate, do you need further evidence anyway? (screencast, etc).
