Using 2D sketch layers

Hey there! I'm a BTEC CAD tutor using Fusion 360, and I've run into a snag. One of the assignments asks for layers in 2D sketches, something I'm familiar with from programs like AutoCAD and Solidworks. But for the life of me, I can't seem to find how to do it in Fusion 360. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

There are no sketch layers in Fusion's sketches. In the 2d drawings workspace there are layers but they are automatically assigned to the geometry in the projected views.
