Uploading offline file fails

So I have an old file that was saved locally, now when I want to upload it to use it again it just wont do anything, it finishes uploading but it doesn't show among the files. I believe the issue is because the file depends on objects from other files, but no error shows and much worst, no solution is presented neither.

The file with the issue is attached to the post.

Is there a fix for this, or Fusion just made this files unrecoverable and unusable.

Hi @american2010

I was able to get this to upload by going through Fusion Team. It uses a little different upload process.

  1. Open the destination folder you want to upload to on the web.

  2. Use the 'upload' from here to upload the Design.
  3. Navigate to the folder in the Fusion app.
  4. Right click the .f3d and select "Create Fusion Design".
  5. Once it's open, we see why the design was having trouble. I would guess when the design was exported, the linked part "Nema 17" was unresolved for some reason and wasn't included in the export (if it was included, but was corrupted, the design would be an .f3z). Also, the naming looks like maybe this was pulled from a backup (which doesn't work with assemblies)?

  6. If you still have access to "Nema 17" you can repair the design by right clicking the unresolved component.

Cheers,

Karina

First of all, thanks a lot for taking your time and providing an answer.

I was able to follow everything as you described, except for the "Create Fusion Design" That doesn't show as an option when I right click.

At least the upload process didn't fail and the file is there, so that's a bit better already.

I wonder if this is some limitation of the free version of Fusion? Or maybe I did something wrong.
