Uploaded .dxf Files Always Open With mm Units

I've been provided some .dxf files and regardless of what unit settings I choose in Preferences, the files are read in mm. What's interesting, is that they are scaled to cm (but created as inches). As an example, two perpendicular lines were created as 1.5" and 1.75", but the file opens with Document Settings as mm and the two lines are 15mm and 17.5mm.

I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I did find someone mention this same issue in 2016....

Incidentally, using CTRL+O and choosing the file from my desktop does correctly open the file using my unit (in) default, but this is not an ideal solution when you have dozens of files to upload.

You are better off using insert DXF from the insert menu and setting the units when you import. The cloud translators do not know your defaults and if no units are set in the DXF or any other unitless file format will default to CM. Don't know why, never met anyone that works in CM.

Note, Although DXF\DWG files in the past where unitless, there is a variable in DWG\DXF files that can be set to indicate the units used when the file was created, Fusion will read this if it's set.

Thanks Mark, I've never met anyone who works in cm either.
This seems like an easy fix for the devs, just add an option on the upload dialog box so you can set the units if a unitless file type is detected (or an additional dialog box that pops up after the files are uploaded/processed). I won't hold my breath though.
