Updated Fusion 360 on Autodesk but installed Fusion 360 application says I haven't updated to the newer version.

On January 4th (I think) I went on manage.autodesk > all products and services > fusion 360 and updated my fusion. This worked and I was able to design in the application that day. When I tried to open fusion 360 again, it said I needed to update so I went back to manage.autodesk. It showed I had the current Fusion 360 update so I just clicked download and opened the fusion 360 app from there. I've been doing this every time I used it but this round-about method stopped working yesterday. Now when I try to download and install Fusion 360, there is an error every time it gets to 30%. Is there something I can do to permanently fix the downloaded app so it stops saying I need to update? I can't do any work on the old version

@Anonymous Can you confirm what version you currently have installed?

Also, every time an update is available we download the update for you automatically.

1. On a restart of Fusion 360 we check if there is an update, if there is we download it while you can continue working.

2. On the next restart we move you to the new version.

Based on which version you are we can try a few things to fix this for good.

I don't know how to find my updated version on Autodesk. On my Fusion 360 application, it still has me on  2.0.9006. Usually if I open the app through "all services and products" then it displays the updated number. Is there a way for me to restart my application?

The Fusion application is what I wanted and 9006 is from September 2020. Here is what I would recommend at this time to get you on a clean slate:

1. Go to this article and uninstall per the instructions

2. Download Fusion 360 from your manage.autodesk.com

3. Install again - I am sure this will install fine

4. You should be on 2.0.9642

Moving forward, every time you restart Fusion checks to see if you have a pending update and it will download it for you. The next time you restart it will update you to the latest version.
