Update Fusion and try again...

Anonymous

Hi, Since a while I get this error message (see picture) when trying to open a file (on my main computer - W10 - F360 v2.0.8412) created with another computer (Laptop W10 - F360 v2.0.8624). I have tried to uninstall F360 from my main PC and reinstall. Now in v2.0.8624 it works but if I close F360 and launch again, I am back in v2.0.8412 (and it does not want to open the file)!!! What is the issue ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Frank

Hi is this still a problem?

Normally Fusion will update itself after you restart it. No-reinstall required.

Last night a major update was released. You should be able to get it by restarting Fusion, taking the update, and then restarting Fusion again.

Look for the update status on the Job Status menu:

Thanks for posting.

Can you please check which build number you are currently running? Go to ? Help > About, and look for a build number like "2.0.XXXX" in the box that appears.

Thanks for checking. This is something I need to look a little closer at. Can you please collect your logs for me?

To be clear, when you mention "restart" you are talking about restarting your computer? If you haven't done that yet, try it.

Thanks for the logs. In the webdeploystreamer log, it shows WinError 10061.

This is often related to proxy settings, or anti-virus. Did you recently change networks, like bringing the computer home from school or work?

Please try the instructions here for Network Related Issues

It sounds like you have found the issue. Have you tried resetting the proxy information in Fusion preferences?

Since you just got a new server you may need to take additional steps for Fusion.

Here is a troubleshooting guide that covers both the server and Fusion.

And as fyi, the ports and domains required in case it comes up:
