Update Fails

Application keeps failing to update.

 

Dialog says unable to connect to internet, yet I'm able to access many other online functions within Fusion360.

 

Error log attached.

@alexsiphone Thank you for posting the log files and sorry about the experience. Unfortunately, the issue that you are facing is one that we have known recently and we are working to fix that in an up coming release. However, at this time to get the update you will need to do an uninstall and reinstall of Fusion 360. This will take up to 2.0.8176.

If you search this forum then there are over 500 posts related to the "Update Fails" And it has been like for more than a couple of years.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is just a very counterproductive and it is not a fix to the problem. I hope Developers can do something better to fix the code on their end.

Thank you for the feedback and yes completely understand that a reinstall is definitely not the first solution. We are definitely looking at install related issues as priority. Infact for the problem you faces we have identified what it is and fixed it BUT it will only help moving forward and not if you are already having this issue.
