I would appear you do not have enough hard drive space for the application to complete. Here is the error taken from your log file.

Having the same issue with an error msg to check my internet connection and Fusion won't update.
@DougPug In your case it seems to be network related. Here is what you can try:
1. Close and make sure Fusion is not running
2. Restart machine
3. Go to add/remove program - Fusion - Modify
4. In the service utility that gets launched - Run repair Fusion
This should get you going.

I tried to repair fusion and also multiple restarts did not help. It fails to update and also to repair. New Installation also fails.
