Unsaved file gone after expired license logout?

Made something in Fusion, tried to save it and it gave me no reason why I could not.
I noticed my license has expired, I was always on the free version and this was never a thing before but ok.

So I though maybe I was logged in to the wrong user, logged out but I was not, logged back in and my design is gone...

How can I recover my work?

The only thing I can find in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<SOME FOLDER>\CrashRecovery is

AutoSavedFileList.xml

SOME FOLDER is the only folder that was edited today.

For clarity...Do you now have a valid license?

Are you saying that without a valid license you cannot save your work?
Why is the program accessible then?
