unnecessary z axis movement on curves

As the image above shows, I'm trying to generate a tool path using the 2D contour for this project. However, no matter the settings I've tried I end up with the tool path unnecessarily moving up and down very frequently on these edges. What am I doing wrong?

So it turns out 2D really means 2D. I was selecting both the top edge contour and the bottom edge contour for each piece when I should have only been selecting the bottom edge contours. Silly me.

So, you're all sorted out? I'd still like to take a look at the file if you don't mind. However, if you're on a Personal Entitlement, sharing the A360 link no longer provides us the means of downloading the file. If you want, can you share the .f3d file> File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply
