Unknown DXF error

I am getting an unknown dxf error when trying to export the flat pattern to dxf.  It seems to make the flat pattern ok but won't export.  I know i have an edge on one side of the tabs that I can't get rid of - is that the issue?  It just keeps saying "There was an unexpected problem with exporting the flat pattern as a DXF file."   Appreciate any help.

Please attach your model giving you issues.  Open it in Fusion, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive.  Attach it to a reply post using the attachment section.

Without the file there isn't much we can do. If you can share it, even in DM that would be helpful. There are half a dozen reasons that can or have caused this in the past:

Thanks - attached is the file.  There were a lot of extra faces/edges in the component and I was able to delete most of them.  There are a couple that I can't get rid of, not sure if that is causing the issue or something else.  Thanks for help!

I agree the Export to DXF does not work correctly.  You can workaround this by creating a sketch on top of the flat pattern, with bend lines or not, and then use the Save as DXF command by right clicking on the sketch in the Browser.  The Model contains the flat pattern sketch.  Model and DXF are attached.

Thank you!  So to incorporate the bend lines, do I just trace them or is there any additional steps so that the dxf file conveys bend line?

When you create the sketch, on top of the flat pattern, you simply project the bend lines, as I did, the same time as you project the outside edges.  I turned off the extend lines, in the flat pattern, to make it easier to do.

Ok.  When I upload to a site like send cut send they aren't able to pick up the bend lines in the dxf file.  Anything else I can try?

The DXF I attached opens as a valid sketch, including the bend lines, so Ido not know anything else that can be done.

Do you have a commercial license? You can create a 2d drawing using the flat pattern(make sure you have the scale set to 1:1). Then in the drawings workspace just hide the title block and boarder so you only get the flat pattern then export as a DXF.

I expect the problem is you need to set the line type and\or layer for the bend lines, so another option would be use another program like QCad to set the layer\line type.
