Unfold and Flat Pattern issues

I am very familiar with the challenges of creating components ripe for unfolding and flat patterning.  I just created two such components as far as i can tell but they cannot be unfolded or flat patterned.

I have noticed more issues with this function lately, recently i derived a component into another file, deleted the design history, then copied it back into the original file and then it mostly unfolded and flat patterned, which suggests there is a Fusion issue not a user issue.

If the bend isn't connecting to anything else, if it just floats out there in space, i see no reason not to use the bend command.  In certain circumstances it is the quickest and easiest way to create a bend.  All of my bends need to be flat patterned anyway.  And if a mitered bend is required the bend command is the only way AFAIK.

Are you familiar with the Machinery's Handbook formulas for calculating Bend Allowance?

I am better at communicating with geometry rather than mere words.
