Unexpected error flat pattern DXF export

Hé folks,

Weird thing here. I'm trying to export a DXF from a flat pattern which includes an extruded SVG. Nothing fancy here just two bends in a vertical panel. I'm wondering what the error can be. If it's the bends, the extruded svg or maybe something else? Hope somebody can help me out with this project on a schedule 🙂

Cheers,

Ahh found the solution!

For people having trouble with this one. Export the component to a f3d file and reupload it. Then export to DXF works!

Thinks it's got something to do with joints and positions.

Have a good one!

I'm having the same trouble but with a twist, my sheet metal projects flattens fine and I am able to export to a dxf file, but if I add a hole of any kind I get the same unexpected error when I try to export it to a dxf.  I tried exporting it to a new f3d file, reopening it and re exporting it to a dxf with the hole and I still get the same unexpected error.  This is happening on a number of my projects but not all my sheet metal projects with holes do this.

I also am currently having this same trouble. Never experienced it before, but I also never had holes/slots extruded in my design. Whats the deal? screenshotFUSION.png

So on closer inspection, when I went back through in a fury of frustration to start all over, I noticed that my slots had become altered probably with over constraining/measuring. Anyhow, I fixed the slot problem, created new flanges and a new flat pattern and it exported just fine!?

Hopefully everyone else figured out their "Unexpected Error", but if you're here now, and haven't, maybe check out stupid details like I did, and hopefully you'll have luck like I did!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Hi,

1. please start a new thread
2. Provide more information in the form of screenshots and screencasts.
3. Share the design

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post
