Undo history flooded?

For the last few weeks, every time I go to undo something, I have to do it via the undo history drop down, because, as you can see in my image, it's always full of these messages. I can make 3 changes to something, and if I wanted to undo them all, I often have to go back through 6+ pages of undo history just to get back to the actual action I performed.

Does anyone have any idea why my undo history is recording these entries, and how I can stop it?

Most of the time, it's the undo add to custom graphics group that shows up while I'm working.

Hi, thanks for posting. I'm happy to look into this issue, but I need a little more information.

Does this happen to all designs?

Are you using configurations?

What workflows are you doing that cause this?

Are there other workflows that do not cause this?

Can you share a design and tell me what workflows to try on it?

Thanks,

So I just tested it a bit, and I opened Fusion, created a sketch, drew some lines, finished the sketch, and this is what was in the history.

history.jpg

This is without anything special enabled like configs etc. A bit more testing reveals that it actually adds 2 "Undo add custom graphics group" entries in to the history every time I hold shift and rotate the model, and weirdly, if I just press the undo button, rather than undo the action, it adds another 2 of those entries 😐 The only way I can navigate back through the history, is by either pressing ctrl z a ton of times, or by clicking at the bottom of the list if I can't see the action I want to undo, so that it goes back through pages and pages of undo add custom graphics group entries. It's driving me crazy!
I don't know if it'll carry across or not, but I've attached the document I drew the 4 line sketch in. I'm going to go out on a limb and say your undo history will be just fine for it though cos that's just my luck 😂

Thanks for the design. It has no information unfortunately. I'm thinking this is the result of an add-in.

Can you open the scripts and add-ins dialog, go to the add-ins tab, and grab a screenshot of all the add-ins?

What operating system are you on?

Thanks for the assistance. Here's a screenshot of both the scripts and addins tabs

The issue is probably from one of those running add-ins. If I had to guess, visual styles.

The way for you to find out for sure is to turn them all off, then start them one at a time and do the workflow that causes the extra undo entries. Let me know what you find and I can help follow up with the author.

Ok well that took a while.

No workflow involved at all really.

As soon as you open Fusion, it starts with the blank Untitled document, but it already has numerous "Undo add to custom graphics group" entries in the undo list. (It also indicates that the document is unsaved with the little * after the document title, despite no actions even having been performed)

Turns out it's coming from the add-in called Metablocks2Tspline.

I'm honestly not even sure what it is or where I got it, but I'm guessing if it's not listed in the add-in section by default, I would have grabbed it from the add-in pages on the Autodesk site.

Thanks for helping! That's gonna save a ton of hair pulling madness for sure 😂

Thanks for letting us know. I searched for Metablocks2Tspline and could only find some videos. The tech looks cool for Fusion, but I don't yet know how to contact the publisher to let them know about the issues.

I honestly don't even recall when I got that plugin. Must have been quite some time ago, but it's not something I ever used much, so thankfully having it disabled isn't going to stop me from doing anything at least.
I'm just so stoked to finally be able to press ctrl+z ONCE and have it undo something.. I used to have to press it a minimum of 3 times to undo a single thing once the issue started!
