Unable to select and convert surface mesh body to solid body.

I can't figure this one out.  I'm trying to convert this surface mesh to a solid body so it will work in a drawing preview.

I've followed all of the autodesk help links, but they don't mention the inability to select a surface mesh and convert it.  I've tried in surface, mesh, etc.  I don't know why I can't convert this to a solid and render it out in a flat drawing.

Please help. Thank you.

The object in your screenshot does not look like a mesh body. It is a surface body.

So go into the surface tab and Create->Thicken the surface 😉
