If I right click on a file and hit "Rename" it opens the text field and highlights all the text. That's cool.

But what's not cool is 95% of the time when I click anywhere in the text field [because I don't want to delete all auto highlighted text and completely rename the file] it exits me out. Been like this for at least a few months.

- Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2006
- Apple M1 Max rMBP A2485 // Latest MacOS // Latest Fusion
- Usually working off files uploaded to Fusion as: Step, STL, SLDPRT. If it matters ask me.

I know you are using an Apple based computer, which I do not know, but in Windows highlighted text can be manipulated easily using the Shift+Left/Right Arrow keys.  Once Rename command has been executed, these keys can be used to de-highlight and highlight the text without the mouse to trip you up.  Maybe you have such a key combination in your operating system.

In the attached Animated GIF file, I am using these key sequences to show you what I described.
