One issue I've run into with the new versioning system is how it handles pre-existing version history.
When you use any of the version commands, Fusion 360 prompts you with what it believes is the next version number. For example, if it only sees Version 1, it suggests Version 2.
The problem is that many of my parts already had multiple versions under the old system. So if my last real version was Version 5, I manually change the prompt from 2 to 6. That works, and Version 6 is created successfully.
However, the next time I select **Create Version**, Fusion 360 once again suggests Version 2 instead of Version 7. I then have to go look up my existing versions just to determine what the next version number should be.
In my opinion, the new versioning system does not adapt well to legacy data that already has an established version history.
The fix to "show" the old V numbers as versions now is still very unworkable!
Does anybody at AD have any idea of how USERS have used Fusion 360?
If I am missing something please correct me and help me figure out how this can work with pre-existing version number. Thanks in advance.
