Two issues in iPad version

Two issues in the iPad that have been a problem since version 2.7.1 (over a year ago).  Everything worked great before that version.

Issue 1 - On the Measure tool, the Precision is stuck at 0.1.  To reproduce the issue, select the Measure tool, click the gear icon in the upper right corner, select fraction inches, then select Precision of 0.01.  Repeat the above and you’ll see that the Precision has reset itself to 0.1.  This means that if I measure something thats 3/4”, it gets rounded up to 1”.

Issue 2 - On the Measure tool, the Reset icon appears directly on top of the “3 dots” (part of iOS) in the middle of the top of the iPad.  This takes precedence over the Reset icon.

So if I touch the Reset icon, the menu for the 3 dots pops up (Full screen, Split screen, etc).

Is there any way these can be fixed?  Thanks.

Is there even a team to report it to anymore? I'm not really joking.

This particular bug has come up plenty of times here. I've brought it up over on insider to crickets. There are reddit posts about it. It fundamentally breaks one of the few functions the iOS app has (to inspect and measure things, as it can't do much else).

Why have a team, to make an app that you can only use to measure one line once?

(I'm coincidentally hot on this today as I had to make a trip to drag my MacBook into the shop this morning to measure something I should have been able to do on the iPad I drive my CNC with)

Hi Rajat,

It’s been almost 4 months since we started this chain.  Is there an estimate for when the next version of the Fusion app will be released?

Thanks,

Salam

Today at WWDC they showed off a new multitasking UI for iPads that doesn't appear to have the dot affordance at the top. However, pecision is still broken and phones with notches continue to be degraded in portrait mode.

I suspect Apple will figure out how to hide a camera under the screen and remove the notch before someone at Autodesk bothers to simply right-align a toolbar icon though.

Thanks for the info!  I guess that’s progress?  I don’t know how you can show something at a conference if it’s broken.  Oh well, maybe it’ll get fixed someday.  Thanks again for the update.

To be clear, Autodesk didn't show their app in the keynote. I'm just suggesting that the dots that were used to enable the multitasking UI, that occlude the measurement clear button, don't seem to be there anymore.

Got it. For me, the key is that the Precision is stuck at 0.1. I can always get around resetting the measurements. But the fact that the measurement itself is inaccurate makes the entire app not useful.
