Trying to insert a component with configuration options into a new design, Selection Configuration widow just hangs then throws error

Hi All,

Just starting to explore configuration options in my models and all working great in the underlying component. But when I then try to use that configured component in a 2nd design I just get stuck. I follow the "right click on the data panel" -> "insert into current design" and the Select Configuration dialogue window opens for me to select the configuration I want to add but the window just hangs in grey and a little spinning icon.

I think in one attempt it threw an error but not sure what it was and now I cant replicate the error just the hang.

PC CPU is running at 4% (with no cores doing anything of note) and there is memory is only at 30% so not a PC capability issue I think.

Any clues anyone?

Thanks

Patience is required for this. It takes a while for that UI panel with the selectable configurations to populate.

oh Lush..... I'm renowned for my patience 😞

Shame it is using and of the PC's capabilities to do what ever it is doing. I'll wait and cross my fingers. Thanks

The Configurations functionality is still under heavy development, so you can expect performance upgrades down the line.

If it doesn't populate and you are in a position to do so, please share the design and a screencast (I use OBS Studio).

Thanks for the offer.....

In other news, I'm afraid my patience didn't manage to wait 😞

Thought I'd try the old "Export to STEP and import back in" trick to clean models and it worked a treat. Took 20 seconds to export the specific configuration and 10 seconds to re-import. Yes it's a dead end now but hey ho, I'll live with that for now.

Thanks for your help and input.
