I've done threads before successfully, but for some reason I am not figuring out how to get threads on two pieces so that the smaller one will thread into the larger one.

The Idea is that the plug will screw into the housing and squeeze the ball to tighten around the shaft.  This is so I have a very small amount of adjustment in the shaft for aligning with other parts of the project.

When ever I try to do this, the surfaces I want to put the threads on are not selectable.

Are there any unresolved issues highlighted in the Timeline?

Are all of your sketches fully defined?

Is the axis of Revolution Horizontal?

Is the cutting line Horizontal?

Is the arc tangent to the line?

Do the arc and line end at a common Coincident point?

The @TheCADWhisperer has your issues spot on, I will just demonstrate, using a Screencast, where two of your "poor" sketching practices caused this issue for you.

Well its clear to me that my main problem is my eyes.  I am scheduled for catarac surgery next month and maybe these problems will go away when I can actually see the screen.

Thank you for your unvarnished suggestions.  Embarrassing, but right on target.
