Trying to add threading to a specific section of a body

Hi,

I'm designing a capsule-like shell to house the components for my next project. I'm trying to implement a twisting/screwing mechanism at the top so that I can open and close the capsule reliably. However, whenever I try to thread the top 9mm of the inside of the hollow cylinder, the threading is applied to the whole thing. How do I only thread a small section of the cylinder.

In the thread dialog box, you can deselect the full length box and then enter a length.
