Trouble pocketing rectangle

I'm trying to cut a rectangular pocket out of the face of a die-cast aluminum box. For simplicity I modeled it as a sheet.

I can pocket the circular holes just fine, but every time I try to create an adaptive or regular pocket for the rectangular hole, it selects the entire model and cuts the entire face.

My setup has no additional stock. Why would it be trying to clear more than the hole I cut out?

Any ideas what's going on? I just want a simple rectangular pocket, or adaptive cut.

There are no Ops in the setup so don't know what you've selected. One problem is you have not selected the body in the setup under model. You don't always need to with one body but best not to get into bad habits.

Here's what I get selecting the pocket for a 2d adaptive pocket. Note the direction of the red arrow and which side of the profile.

I usually have a body selected, otherwise it throws an error. The file I sent must have been after I deleted and re-modeled it. Here's what I get, with an updated file:

Thanks for the help. Seeing you get the correct tool path with my file motivated me (after over an hour fighting this) to realize I'm missing a step that should be obvious. I realize now that my selection is "inverted" which led me to this: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fli...

I simply needed to click the red arrow on the tool path.  Thanks again!

I thought that might be the problem, did you see my hint about the the red arrow in my previous post?

One more tip. If you hide the sketch and select an edge fusion will usually get the correct side to offset.

Great tips, thanks. And sorry I did overlook the red arrow comment. I'll look more carefully next time. Thank you!
