Transfer projects from one account to another

Dear Fusion team:

I have a fusion account registered under my student email address which I will no longer have access to in a few weeks. I have hundreds of files under student email account and I will need to transfer out to my personal account. My personal account is a hobbiest account. I don't think manually downloading all files will be a good option as there's just too many. I have read through a few similar posts in the forum and it seems that they all need a team account, which applies mostly to commercial users.

So I amwondering what is the best way to do it for me?

Hi, Thanks for using Fusion360 for your personal use.

And to your question, Personal users also have team like a commercial user. there is no much difference except a few other data/role management operation differences when accessing other member's Team (hub).

To transfer the Projects from one hub to other hub:

1. Invite your email (personal email) to student account.

2. Accept the invite and ensure you see both hubs are seen when logging in via Personal email.

3. Login back with your Student email.

4. Goto Admin section via (Click Profile icon > Admin)

5. Switch to Projects tab section. (should list all the projects you have).

6. Now select the project you wanted to transfer (here, whole project is transferred not just the files/folders. If you dont want that to happen, move (all files which you want to move) them to a dummy project ). - Also if required make duplicate files temporarily till you ensure all the data is moved correctly.

7. It should land on to a Project Transfer page and then chose the hub (personal email -hub).

8. all your data should be moved to the Personal Email Team.

If my post answers your question, please click the "Accept Solution" button. This helps everyone find answers more quickly!

Regards,

Sasi
