Toolpath not showing invalid after editing design

We've noticed a behavior where when we edit a sketch, that is directly driving a toolpath, the associated toolpath does not show as "invalid" to prompt you to regenerate.

Specifically, the Trace toolpath. When we update the driving sketch the associated Trace operation still shows as valid and does not prompt you to regenerate before re-posting the code.

Screenshot attached as an example.

One occasion we copied a file (to make a new version of an existing file). We did edit the sketch we use to drive engrave (Trace) the part number in Manufacture. We made whatever other tweaks and then later in the Manufacture environment and we clicked Generate on the whole Setup and chose "No" when prompted if we want to generate valid toolpaths. So everything else recalculated and we posted the code.....but it still engraved the old part number from the original version. I thought maybe it was some weird artifact from being a copied file.

Today in a new file I changed the font height of the Text Sketch. And again, in Manufacture, the Trace toolpath still shows valid.

I think Fusion genuinely improved a lot of the things that used to cause invalid toolpaths. But I swear this used to force you to regenerate the toolpath when you edited the driving geometry. Maybe the improvements had this unintended side affect?
