Thread Data calculator and thread data manual update?

I have a couple questions that might be able to be answered via a forum and couldn't find any current data on this.

1. Every time Fusion 360 is updated it puts a new webdeploy folder and my custom thread xml files are not copied over, is that really what has to happen?  I have to rebuild and copy files in this cryptic hashed folder in webdeploy/server/fusion/server/configraiton/threaddata directory every time a webdeploy comes out?

2.  Is there somewhere to add custom thread data on the front end of fusion 360?  seems like there woudl be an input or even an xml upload there, but better yet a way to add it, since xml files never read consistently.  always building xml files, but never get a consistent behavior out of one or is there a guide to what is recommended for our XML files to be built with in order to get read?  required xml tags?  optional?

thanks

I will give you an option for your question number 1.  It is a Fusion 360 Add-In called ThreadKeeper.  You will find it in the Fusion 360 App Store.

well that's all they need to do... lol... nice extension.  Autodesk should pay you to add this to their software.

I am not the author of the Add-In, you can see who that is on the web page.  I am just a user trying to help other users.
