Thickened surface has no volume, mass

Hi there,

I'm trying to design a small boat. I've applied some wood material properties to the hull panels drawn so far but I am not able to get mass properties. The hull components drawn by thickening the outside surfaces don't have any volume, hence no mass.. Drawing attached. Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong?

Is there a place where I can get the sum of all the body masses?

Hi Gunter. I can't make either of those suggestions work. 

If I select all bodies and then click properties I only get the mass of the first body selected, not all.

If I select a component I'm back to my first problem posted. The component has no volume, therefore no mass..
