I ask it how to submit a feature request, and it tells me to visit "contact us". Then I ask it, why not just give me a link to "contact us" instead of making me click through to find it? It replies that it cannot provide direct links. But just after that, it sends me links to download and to add to cart. So frustrating.

To more directly answer you, there is a program called Fusion Insider, where you get access to new releases a couple weeks early. There is a busy feedback forum and lots of other opportunities to engage with Fusion developers. I hope this helps.
