T-spline self intersect

Hello!
I am making a car seat in Fusion 360 and have encountered some problems with my model when "finishing form".

So far I have been able to solve the problems, but now I have encountered a "T-spline self intersect" that I have not been able to solve yet. Also, when I try to solve this problem by editing the faces, new problems show up.

I watched a video where this problem was solved, but I seem to not be able to follow the same steps.

Any tips on what I can do?

Thank you!

I can see the self-intersecting geometry in your screenshot.

If you can share your model we can show you the problem areas and ho to address these problems.

It would be too much to post a screencast as it would be lengthy and I only worked on it during little bursts here and there.

Just look t the attached model and observe how the mesh layout looks like.

1. Avoid triangles at all costs.

2. Avoid N-Gons (polygons with more than 4 edges/vertices) and definitely don't use any N-Gons with more than 5 vertices/edges.

3. Be mindful of the "edge flow"

Ok, great! I'll avoid those three things.

Would you recommend creating something like this in box mode or is the smooth mode ok?

Thank you so much for your help!

80% of your modeling should be done in box-view.

If that resembles the shape you are looking for then chances are that it'll look good in smooth-view.

If you do make adjustments in smooth-view, go back and check again in box-view mode.
