Sweep Command Not Creating a New Body

Hi! I'm a high school teacher currently teaching virtually. My class and I are working through this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSbJGnkPnmc&list=PLrZ2zKOtC_-AVj6u6f9o5SEb6FhCssCg5&index=8) to practice the sweep and loft commands, and I have one student who is having difficulty. He's having a problem not with the sweep command itself - he's designed a nice t-spline curve and a circle profile and can see a preview that looks right - but when he clicks the option for New Body or New Component, New Body is the only one that appears. (And we want a new body, so that's fine, just weird!) When he presses OK, the preview is still visible, but it doesn't seem to convert to a new body. He can select faces and edges, but he can't delete or otherwise interact with them.

Is this an error on his end? (He's one of my hardware / software gurus, so I wouldn't expect a download or set-up issue, but it could potentially be one.) The rest of my class is not having trouble with this step, and I've walked him through it several times without being able to see anything wrong.

Are there any known bugs with t-spline and circle sweeps? I saw things in here around more complicated sweeps, but this seems really simple!

Hi,

1. please show this behaviour in a screencast

2. Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post.

@abishopZRWG6 - do you mean "T-Spline" or "Spline" here, because they are two very different things?  "T-Spline" refers to the Form workspace, making organic shapes, while "Spline" is a 2D or 3D curve (two flavors:  fit point spline or CV spline).  I suspect you mean "Spline" here, because you cannot use a T-Spline as a path.  But, a screencast or a model should reveal what is going on.

Is it possible that this student is trying to create the sweep in the Form environment, instead of the Design environment?  Sweep in Form does not allow "New Component" option, which is a possible clue.
