Hi all,

Stupidly obvious answer I'm sure.

I'm trying to follow this tutorial to make a cone:

https://www.google.com/search?q=fusion+360+how+to+make+a+cone&oq=fusion+360+how+to+make+a+cone&aqs=c...

It suggests creating two circle sketches and then moving one in the z plane to allow a loft between the two, however when I'm moving one circle, the other circle moves with it?

I can't see any constraints etc, but they're obviously connected somehow!

Any pointers appreciated!

Will depend on Constraints.

Did you draw them on the origin?

Click hold on the centre points, if a coincident icon highlights, select and delete it.

Might help....

This is not the best way to make a cone as moving the circle off of the sketch plane would turn it into a 3D sketch.

Revolve of 2D profile would be a better technique than Loft.

Hi,

my recommendation:  Never move sketch elements in the 3rd axis in such cases.

Do it like this:

Ah, great solution Gunther! I'll use that from now on - thanks all for your help!
