I use the timeline a lot.

Like, a lot

It would be super handy to have a way to move back and forth through the timeline without having to click the navigation buttons. Is there way to do this with the keyboard?

Hi,

why don't you use the slider in the timeline?

I'm more of a keyboard guy. For shorter timelines, where I know every step by heart, the slider works fine. For timelines with more than about ten steps, moving back and forth one step at a time is the easiest way to find that one extrude operation (or sketch, or fillet, or whatever) that I want to edit.

I agree with the OP. Moving through the timeline with the mouse is inefficient and breaks the work flow. This is part of a larger mouse-centric issue with F360 that impedes effective work, whereby the user must move the mouse away from the drawing to execute every single little non-drawing task such as renaming or selecting elements in the browser. I want the cursor to stay at it's last position - in the drawing - and only move to execute drawing functions. Everything else should be doable with the keyboard. It is extremely frustrating to work like this. I estimate I lose 40% of my actual productivity shoving the mouse around unnecessarily.

+1 for this post - keyboard shortcuts and even  assignable mouse buttons would save heaps of time. This has been a request since 2016 https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation/add-keyboard-shortcuts-timeline/idi-p/6466333

Would be great to see!

+1 : since the AnyShortcut ( https://github.com/thomasa88/AnyShortcut ) AddIn is not working anymore since the last updates and AnyMacro ( https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=6486574143530777248 ) AddIn isn't usefull also.

Most of the buttons should have users custom assignable shortcuts for better compatibility with space mouses and gaming mouses.

100% a feature that needs implementing! Navigating the timeline with keyboard shortcuts would save a lot of time
