don't know if it will work for you but i was just having the same thing happen. I closed fusion and ran it as admin. It then loaded to the log in screen but the internet wouldnt work, so I closed it and then logged in the autodesk website and then hit the  signin on the fusion app. We shouldnt have to do all these work arounds to make paid for software work.

Only way I could get it to work was to uninstall, remove all traces and fusion/autodesk. And went into regedit and deleted all traces of autodesk. Reinstalled it and was working again. Goodluck

This worked. Deleting everything, deleting everything from registry and such and reinstalling..

Well, ain't this ridiculous, it lasted for ~6 days and the problem is back. 😄

Edit: For launching and relaunchign and cloing it, it opens up now normally again. This behaviour is odd.

same issue here, is there a guide somewhere for the fusion registry entries that need to be cleared?

Same here Hobby free version, worked a few times after the update then crashed, failed to start. Also uninstalled and installed same issue. Only use this a few times a year and never had issues like this.

Am I the only one that still has this issue. Even tried restoring PC to a few days before, that didn't help. Installed and uninstalled so many time I have given up. Tried the suggested clean install but doesn't help. Even did further Autodesk  registry  removals. After going through the clean uninstall yet again I did manage to run the program but after closing it down, I'm back to the same issue. This suggested process is out dated as many of the suggested steps don't exist on my PC Win11. The MS trouble shooter is no longer workable on Win11. Half the steps are not applicable anymore as in the suggested steps don't exist to actually action the step. I've spent so much time trying to get this program to work, it's really frustrating. I know I'm only a hobby user but I have never experienced such issues in the 5 years or so I have used this program. Usually a quick update or windows update uninstall or a simple remove add is all it took, not 20-30 min each time it takes just to fail again.

Hi Lawrence,

One odd question, do you use a desktop or a laptop?

If you're using a desktop, are you attached to several monitors and is one of them connected to your integrated gpu? Do you open the program in there?

Also, please check if your external gpu is selected as primary source of power for fusion360, I double and triple checked those things too. I noticed I had this issue when I launched Fusion in the display which was attached to my integrated gpu monitor, this is either an interesting coincidence or a plausible cause.

Regards,

Joonas

Thanks Joonas. Using a separate GPU and both monitors connected to external GPU. Not sure what you mean by "gpu is selected as primary source of power for fusion360" I assume I need to check in the NVIDIA settings for this. Anyway you gave me a thought that a few years ago a NVIDIA driver update was responsible for messing up Fusion360, so after 20 reboots using selective startup, I still haven't found the issue as Fusion is still working, though I still have a few reboots to go as I still need to add startup items, (12 left to go), need a break now and carry on later. Let you know how it goes because it definitely looks like something (service) messing with Fusion360.

Ok, so that was a total bust and wast of time. It's still working even though I have re-enabled all services. Yesterday if I did that Fusion would not load. Not a one off but multiple times during selective startup I did so just to prove I was on the right track, so still looking.

Hey,

I did mean that on your GPU's settings, or windows settings, you've set that this application is running using external gpu, and not internal.

I guess it should be on external on default, but these are the little things that need to be checked.

It's  a bummer that it didn't help for you.

Regards,

Joonas

Well at the end of the day, never found a resolution. Fusion been up and running as normal after a selective startup and doing that a few times to locate the offending driver/program I have all processes running again with no negative affect.

So who knows what the real issue was. Just trying a few things as suggested seems to sort it out one way or another.

Thanks for the support Joonas, appreciate the suggestions.

Hey all. Running on MacOS Ventura here, experiencing the exact same issue. Fusion goes unresponsive after "Loading Additional Modules". Is there a solution for mac? I'm on a mac pro with an rx 6700xt.
