There is no reason why these should be highlighted:
They aren't selected and the body/component is hidden. Stop it. The escape key does nothing. Fix this...............

Thanks for posting this. That can be annoying.
Any idea how it happens? If I can reliably reproduce it that would help greatly. I'm glad to give this some testing time.
Did you ever try to change the graphics preferences regarding highlighting? I'm just curious if this makes a difference, to help narrow down testing steps.
