STL translator failed to export data

Hey guys,

My fusion has just started to throw up the following errors:

Error: Autodesk Translation Services failed to translate the current document to stl file!
Error: STL Translator failed to export data

I tried moving the body along the y-axis, changing to ASCII and then saving, closing and re-opening the file, and re-booting fusion. But with no solution. Was there ever a bug fix for this error?

It has only recently started doing it.

Cheers

can you share the model here?  We need to see that to debug it.  Thanks.

This normally happens when data is in the process of being saved and uploaded to the cloud. If you have just saved a model, wait for it to finish doing it's thing in the data panel and try again just to rule this out.

Sure thing. Here is one of them that is doing it.

hmmm... it seems to work OK for me.  Can you try the steps in the screencast?  My sample STL output is also attached.

I can do everything when I follow your steps.

What is the difference between going File>3d Print vs doing the save as STL as you did?

If I try any of my models with the 3d file>3d print option - I get the errors.

Actually, it seems to be something to do with the sd card that I am trying to save to. If I save direct to my desktop - either through file>3d print or the way you saved the stl, it works. But as soon as I select the sd card as the save destination, I get the errors.
