Static Simulation Fails to Render Mesh or Solve

I am trying to solve a design for a static load. The file has constraints, loads, and materials loaded. This is being done on MacOS and a local solve. I have check to make sure NASTRANSolver is in the Fusion folder. The model fails to mesh or solve. It fails at the preparing model stage of solving. The mesh will not render from the solve command or in the simulation environment. Screenshots and the file are attached.

Hi @misc_engineering

First of all, there is no error in your model, and loads/conditions are well-defined. In windows I could able to get it all correct as you see below.

If your problem still persists, try out following steps:

  • Go to Browser -> Generate Mesh again.
  • Try modifying the Mesh settings, as you see below. Modify Model Based Size/Minimum Element Size to refine the mesh further.
  • Screenshot (481).png
  • Try making small changes in your 3D model and again follow the same procedure.

I couldn't figure out the purpose of Extrude5 (the second Extrude).

Also, I would reconsider the placement of the holes.

(And I would probably add Tangencies to the splines in Sketch1.)
My Sketch1 would start out something like this - note the fully defined (black rather than blue) geometry.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have removed all the fillets for simplicity and tweaked other geometries. I have tried changing the mesh setting with no success. The constraints were also changed to more accurately represent being screwed to a ceiling. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fusion to try and sort-out any issues which could have been present there. This resulted in a slightly different log but I remain unable get a mesh or results. New file and log attached.

To fix the problem I used a Windows machine. There seems to be a problem with the meshing process on my Mac but when running the same file on Windows it works. Has anyone else running a Mac encounters problems meshing?
