Stability issues with Mesh (Scan data) in Project

I've been having a lot of stability issues with scan/mesh data within fusion. It can be flying through then at rather random events (like turning on and off a mesh for visibility) it locks up and shuts down with an error report.

This is really getting in the way of a workflow. I could see this being an issue with having large meshes, but they are all processed to be more minimal and again, the system handles it fine most of the time except when it doesn't.

It would be one thing if it froze for a bit and then resumed - but it is a full crash.

I tried unlinking files, grounding everything, doing as much as possible for it to reduce the need to "rebuild" assemblies. Nothing seems to contribute. I went as far as not using the "high resolution" graphics option. The file currently has "history tracking" off as well.

Any feedback would be useful. I can share the files in with interested engineers.

In addition to the crash, sometimes I have to wait for something to sync.

Please add more clarity with what processes are ongoing, what is getting loaded where and how long it will take.

Otherwise please make ALL files OFFLINE by default with online background sync - not the other way around. The saving and uploading constantly gets in the way.

@dmitriy - from the crash reports, it looks like the crash is occurring during some kind of save operation.

The temporary freezes you are seeing are probably Fusion doing a recovery save.  You can control how often that occurs with this preference:

If you are working with scan data, my guess is your mesh is fairly large, and a save will take some time based on model size.  So, bump up your recovery save interval.

can you save this design using the Save icon?  Any crashes or problems doing that?  Would you be willing to share your design so we can take a look at it?
