Split Body Error

Hello,

I would like to use split body.

I opened stp file that is a 3d hole image scanned by a laser scan tool. Then, I generated a cylinder wall crossing the hole image. I would like to split the cylinder wall with the 3d hole image to get the volume of the hole inside.

However, I received an error mentions that  "No intersection between targets and split tool. Based on my observation, they overlap each other.

Would you tell me why the error occurs?

Thank you for replying me. The file is attached, please review it.

I want to split the Body2 with Body1. Then we can get the volume of the hole in Body1. But the error occurs "No interaction between target(s) and split tool.

Here is the detail what we want to do:

We want to measure volume of a hole generated at a pipe because a planned hole size and an actual hole size are different. So we scanned the generated hole with 3d laser device and convert the data into stp and stl file. We identified how we measure the volume using stl file (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/measure-the-volume-of-a-hole/m-p/1290...). However, because stl file is large and calculation time is large. Thus I want to use stp file and calculate the volume faster.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
