I appreciate that the 3Dconexxion spacemouse gets some love from Autodesk.

While working with it I came across a few issues:

1. working inside the sketch it locks into 2D mode(pan&zoom), which is okay but I have a hard time to getting out of this mode. I need to press shift and the middle mouse button which is not intuitive at all. There is a dedicated button on the Space mouse to lock/ unlock the same function, Why not use that?

2.no way of adding a custom rotation point, use to work just fine before

3. If zoomed very close suddendly will get flipped to the other side of the 3d model which is very confusing, since you loose the orientation easily

what I like is that I can now more easy customize certain commands to the custom buttons

I don't know how to respond to your issues as I have not experienced them - but just want to add some encouragement that mine works just fine.  So there is a way to get working properly.

What OS do you have?  (I am running on Windows 10 OS.)

I am experiencing both of your issues, this is the first post that I have seen another person have this happen.

I was starting to think it was a specific issue with my machine.

I have been working with 3dConnexion to resolve it, but we have tried just about everything to no avail...

IMO, this feels like a new fusion360 defect.

I just saw that they added a setting in preferences which allows you to select the driver.

you can select new or legacy...

selecting legacy fixes the issue for me.

but fixing the issue also causes you to lose some of the advanced settings for the spacemouse and causes it to be super sensitive for me...

I was able to slow down the settings and it's all good for now.

hope they fix the new driver soon.

update: legacy driver is not really as usable as I originally thought.

and latest driver is a no-go with that issue...

hopefully this invert issue gets fixed as the spacemouse is non-op until then

😞

update: after isolation toggling just about every graphics driver and view settings in fusion 360.

I was able to make the distinction that this only occurs when perspective or perspective with ortho faces is used for your view setting, in your design.

if you switch to ortho, the anomaly of flipping the model goes away... in my testing

hopefully this will get resolved soon...
