I just saw the Slicer add in on the blog. Looks really cool! I want to try it, but its not installing. My pc is looking for an app to open a .pkg file. The app site says to;

Install:

Download the pkg file from the App Store and follow instructions. It will require admin password on your Mac."

Do you install it from inside fusion? I have never used the add ins before. What am I doing wrong?

A .pkg file is the Mac installer.  If you've got a Win box there is an option for an .exe file.  Click the Win64 button and you should be able to download it.

This is just not meant to be tonight, lol. It says now the file is invalid. If I right click and extract, it says the file is empty. It is a .zip file with an .exe extension. Is that correct?

Remove the .zip from the filename. It's actually an .exe file but for some reason it's downloading with the zip extension.

The reason it's downloading with zip extension is because Firefox adds a .zip at the end of any .exe file. You need to delete the .zip extension and double click the .exe. Then it willl work beautifully 🙂

The .zip extension which was added by mozilla firefox during download process has been resolved now. The download of slicer, windows version will download .exe format directly through firefox browser.

20 months later and I also made the same mistake. The selection box MAC/Win64 didn't catch my eye as a selection criteria at all 😞

Different add-in, same problem for me. Just wanted to say thanks. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure this out.
