Sketch does not show measurements

I just loaded fusion 360 again and all the user guides show you when you open sketch and draw a rectangle and enter your measurements that you see these with arrows - I don't - just the rectangle with dull constraints symbol on each side and my measurement box is ticked to view (in fact nothing is changed from download).  I can't find anything anywhere to show these

@Anonymous - can you record a screencast/video of what you are seeing?  A couple of things to check/note:

  1. dimensions for a rectangle will only appear if you type in values when creating the rectangle
  2. not really sure what "my measurement box is ticked to view" means, but make sure that "dimensions" are visible in the sketch panel:

Can you create a Screencast recording demonstrating how you are entering your dimensions?

Can you enter the dimensions after creating the rectangle using the Dimension tool?

Can you File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file that exhibits this behavior?

my guess is dimensions are not showing because you have not created any dimensions.  As I said above, unless you actually type in values when creating a rectangle, Fusion will not automatically create dimensions.  In the screencast below, I show 3 rectangles.  In the first, I do not enter values, so no dimensions are created.  In the second, I enter values, and dimensions are created.  In the third, I manually add dimensions.  Hopefully that helps you understand how things are supposed to work.  If you are following these steps and not seeing what is shown here, then something different is going on.

I suspect your sketch does not show dimensions because it does not have any. See the screencast below.  In the rectangle command, you have to actually type in values for dimensions to be created.
