Hello,
I initially believed in an error on my part: after a long process, I noticed the disappearance of a component of my current design.
I thought I mistakenly deleted it before a save, so I just opened an old version of the history, then saved a copy of that missing component, and reinserted it into the design of the work in progress, then I removed the link to make it a new component so that I could work on it without modifying the original.
Phew, problem solved for me this time : component recovered and parameters reconfigured, all works.
Then the next day I reopened my design, and what was my surprise to find that the newly inserted component was still there, of course, but next to it was the one that had disappeared, and had come back on its own as if nothing was wrong!
Just a concern of points in a 3D sketch which were missing, the software using the cache to fill the gap (problem impossible to repair - I cannot find the solution but it is not important, the component will change at this level).
I then deleted the inserted duplicate component, and since then all seems to work fine in this design.
Have you experienced such an adventure?
Do you have any idea what may have happened?
nb: alas I cannot publish this project, but my question relates to the theory of the problem, not to the repair of my file in particular.
ps: it just did it again after a milestone recording, and I noticed that if the component has disappeared from the hierarchy, on the other hand itself and all its constituents are still in the timeline, but grayed out!
ps2: It's been several times that F360 crashes since April update, and in doing so it loses a component with all its history, even in timeline.
Fortunately we can recover the lost components via the old saved versions, but it's still worrying and annoying:
Do you have the same problem right now?
Any solution ?
Tx a lot for your reading and your time trying to resolve this serious issue.
May The Force be...yond !
