Show sketch in drawing

when I try to show a sketch in a drawing view using the show/hide eye in the drawing tree,  no lines show up, even though they are not construction and are in a sketch that is perpendicular to the drawing view.

Do you mean you don't see it in the browser tree while working in the DESIGN environment or do you mean you don't see it while navigating within the DRAWING environment?

The model must be saved after the unconsumed sketch will be available.  Also make sure that you are enabling not only the specific sketch in the drawing browser tree but also the Sketches folder.  It works like a charm for me.

If you would like to attach your model that contains the free sketch I would love to try it out for you.

Hi both,

I see this problem when the sketch belongs to a part inside an assembly. The sketch is visible in the assembly model but not present in the drawing of that assembly. Sketches made in the assembly can be visible, but not those of the included parts. Is someone able to confirm that this does/doesn't work for them? Maybe there is some hierarchy of sketch visibility I need to enable!

Ok I figured this out. My sketches were using construction lines and they are not visible on the drawing. When I switched to normal lines they showed up.
