Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting!

When you say shortcuts, do you mean the icons for the commands you have placed in the command ribbon (i.e. the icons above Sketch, Create, Modify, etc.)? Or are you more talking about the keyboard shortcuts?

Would you mind recording an Autodesk Screencast of the issue as it happens on your machine? It would be useful to see the picks and clicks that you are making.

Also, by any chance are you using a 3rd party application to remote desktop from a Windows based machine into a macOS based machine or vice versa? I know that there is an issue when trying to use the keyboard shortcuts if you are using Fusion like this, just because Windows keyboards do not have a "Command" key.

Also, are you using any peripheral devices such as a 3DConnexion product or a Wacom tablet? If so, does unplugging the peripheral device make the shortcuts work again? If you are using a peripheral device, it might also be worth checking with the manufacturer's website to ensure that you are using the most up to date drivers for the device.

I hope this helps! Thanks in advance for the information and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Cheers,

I'm having the same problem.  I just went from the free trial to the purchased license and downloaded the newest version of Fusion 360.

The shortcuts that no longer work for me have to do with view manipulation.  The following functions worked in the trial (my mouse will not perform these actions), but not now:

Pan F2 + left mouse

Orbit F4 + left mouse

Hi there @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting!

Just did a little digging into this, but I couldn't reproduce the issue initially. It sounds like you may have come from Inventor-land and had switched the navigation settings during your trial. I am curious though. When you purchased your subscription, did Fusion automatically flip your navigation settings back to the Fusion default settings? Would you mind checking up on that for me? To get to your navigation settings, you can click your name in the upper right corner of Fusion, then select Preferences from the drop down. The navigation settings can be found on the opening page of the preferences dialog box, towards the bottom as highlighted below.

If everything is still as it should be in there, by any chance are you using a 3rd party application to remote desktop from a Windows based machine into a macOS based machine or vice versa? I know that there is an issue when trying to use the keyboard shortcuts if you are using Fusion like this, just because Windows keyboards do not have a "Command" key.

Awesome. Thanks. It has switched back to Fusion shortcuts. I set my
preferences back to Inventor shortcuts and it works again. Thank you again!

Thanks for getting back to me!

Glad to hear that was an easy fix! Would you mind marking that post as a solution though? This will help improve the searchability of this post for users that may experience this same issue in the future.
