Sheet metal corners - Help Making them look neat

Hi

I'm trying to teach myself sheet metal and one thing is eluding me, neat corners.

I've made a simple component (See attached file), I've watched some videos and made sure it was a new component and to use the flange tool but the corners always look odd, with one side stepping over, if anything i'd like a inner corners to meet so the outer corners leave a fillet for weld to be laid down into.

I went onto the sheet metal rules and made a new sheet, i changed the bend radius to get them to fit better together with less gap (It's only 2.5mm thick) but on the Corner conditions, what ever i pick the corner doesn't seem to change?

Any help appreciated as i'm still learning

Make both flanges at the same time, make sure mitre is checked and use Arc weld as the 2 bend relief.

Hi, when I try this process now I am still getting too wide of a gap between the flanges.  Am I overlooking something?
