sheet metal colour seperation to represent thickness

Hello - I make chemically etched kits where the etching process is determined by the colour of my drawings.  Black for full thickness, white for no thickness and red for half thickness.

I have been looking at fusion 360 sheet metal capability and this would be great for what I am trying to achieve.  However, what I need to be able to do is to impose a colour on the different metal parts.

Ideally i would use thge sheet metal tool to draw the different thicknesses.  But is there a way of colour coding the different surfaces to represent the thickness?

An example is attached of a visio drawing....something that I would want to be able to recreate in fusion and then print in colur to a pdf file.
