Service Utility's Repair command breaks Fusion

The Repair command proceeds to delete file without verifying if some of them are in use or not.  Case in point: python.

Then it fails to delete them, and gives up after having deleted enough of the Qt libraries to prevent the application to start again.

You are told instead that reinstalling the app will fix the problem. The #catch22 is that enough of Fusion is still left behind that the installer sees it as up-to-date and gives no option to re-install it.

Let me reflect to ensure I'm reading you correctly.

When FSU does a repair, python is somehow running and breaks the repair. Is that what you are experiencing?

Indeed, the repair utility  should check if e.g. there is a running Fusion-python [debugging] session before attempting to delete/reinstall the python files.
