Serious Issue in Circular Pattern

I suspect that someone else has reported this serious issue, but it is hard to believe that it exists at this date...

In the previous Circular Pattern I created 380 instances.

Then I did a simple Extrude.

Next I wanted to do a Circular Pattern of only 2 instances of the previous Extrude, but Fusion remembers the previous 380 and this field is not available to change until AFTER selecting the feature to pattern. Instead of waiting for it to calculate the 380 so I could then change to 2 I tried to highlight the now available field and change to 2.  But it's trying to calculate 3280.  The Quantity field should be immediately available before selecting body or feature to pattern.

I think I followed your description of the Patterning issue but I do not get the same issue your post is about.  My video shows my process, what did I do or not do, to see your posted issue.

@jhackney1972

Hmmm, you did the same steps, but when I did the second Circular Pattern the field for Quantity was already populated with 380 from the previous use and this brought Fusion to its knees calculating the new pattern.

I will have to see if I can recreate the issue from scratch.

Thanks for attempting to reproduce.

When you did Extrude, did you use Fusion default or Repeat? That's all I got!Screenshot 2025-06-26 191249.png

I see a difference depending on how you start the command. @jhackney1972 selected a rectangular pattern then changed to circular on the dialog, this seems to reset the count. I have circular and rectangular on my toolbar and if I select the circular button I get the last used count, it doesn't get reset to 3!

Ha, good catch.

I used the pull-down menu...

I learned something new as well.  I didn't realize that you could select the Rectangular Pattern and change to Circular as @jhackney1972 had done.  I watched him do it and it still didn't register in my mind as a difference until you pointed it out.
