Selection problems in mesh workspace

I'm having issues in the mesh workspace when trying to select faces. I'll try to use the paint selection to select faces but nothing looks like it's selected. If I turn on the mesh palette I can see that selections are being made, but nothing shows.

I tried using some tools with the selections made and nothing actually changes.

I've tried quitting out of fusion and restarting my computer but I'm still running into the issue.

Any ideas of what's happening?

I'm using:

- Fusion version 2.0.7421

- Mac os 10.14.6

Not sure why the screen cast isn't getting inserted into the original post. Trying again.

@schmitz.chris - can you share the model here?  It's hard to tell from just the screencast.  But, have you ever converted this mesh to a BRep?  It looks, from the video, that there may be a BRep and an mesh overlapping each other, and you are not seeing the mesh because it is obscured by the BRep

Hey Jeff,

Here's the link to the model: https://myhub.autodesk360.com/ue2bb8ca4/shares/public/SH56a43QTfd62c1cd968e88c921ac0b36dc7

Also some context, this is an example asset passed to me as a mesh by our VR department, so the goal is to turn it into a solid that can be 3D printed and I'm trying to smooth out some of the surfaces.

Thanks for the design, it really helps.  I had missed the fact, in your video, that the mesh body is in an external component.  So, you cannot select mesh faces until you open that other component (SM_Bld_CityHall_01).  See the screencast below:
