Earlier, I could save an assembly file of say a Hyd Cylinder in two separate Projects. But from last update this is not being allowed. This is a big problem coz I used to save such common files across different projects.

Hi @suneelmo,

Thank you for posting! Just to check, are you getting the warning below when you insert a design into another design that is in a different project? If so, this has been a limitation and the inserted design won't be linked. I am not aware of a recent change that affects this.

Thx for quick reply. I don't know about this team hub. How do I find out in
which hub I am? How do I switch to team hub?

Thank you for your response! If you have purchased Team Hub license, you can find Switch Hubs option under your name in the top-right corner.

If you have only a personal hub, I recommend that you copy parts to a project and create assembly within that project.

Hopefully that helps!

Thank you for your response! Just to check, have you purchased Fusion Team or are you planning to purchase one? This is not included in Fusion 360 and I was not able to confirm your license in the internal system.

I can create a support case for you and transfer it to the right team, and they can give you a call. Could you tell me what your request is?

Hi @suneelmo,

I apologize for the confusion but I tested with some more designs and noticed that inserting designs from another project doesn't work even in Team Hub and get the same error. (I think I was doing something wrong...)

So the only way to work around the limitation is to create assembly using designs within the same project.

Again, I'm sorry for the confusion!
