Hi, lately I am having problems saving to mesh, when I have to select a location for my file I have to be fast otherwise it returns to my design screen, it is like it has a timeout within seconds. Others with that problem?

I am on a Mac

Hi @runekc

This posting about 3 week old. Do you still need assistance?
I was not able to see any any issues on my machine.
A screencast/video of what you are doing will help me to understand the problem.

Oh sorry for the late reply, yes it still happens. Does screencast work on a Mac? I am saving mesh files to a Synology Nas if that helps. It happen the first 2-3 times I want to save a mesh file, If I hurry I can choose location before it returns to my design without saving anything to mesh.

Hi, well I finally got around to install Screencast and now I can't replicate the issue 🤣

The issue was I couldn't choose a location for my STL file before the menu closed and I was back to design screen, it only happened within the first couple of tries and then it behaved normally. 🤷‍♂️

Well it seems to work now, thank you very much for your help.

have a great day

I'm having this problem too and I narrowed down the cause. I'm on macOS Monterey.

If I'm editing a design with multiple bodies, and I right click the root component and click Save as Mesh, then click Ok, it pops up the save dialog, right? But while that dialog is open, if my cursor hovers over any of the bodies that are visible in the background, the save dialog is unceremoniously closed and nothing is saved.

It doesn't do it every time. It seems that normally when the save dialog is open, hovering over bodies does not cause them to be highlighted, but when the problem does reproduce I see a body get highlighted just before it closes the dialog on me.

Okay, I got it!

If when you click the "Ok" button in the Save as Mesh dialog a body is currently highlighted, then you hover over a second body, then you move the mouse cursor to the Save dialog, it triggers the bug and the dialog closes.

Here I'm pressing the enter key on the first dialog so that Ok gets clicked while the first body is highlighted:

I too have this issue. Any idea how to fix it? I suppose if we know that the issue happens only when hovering over a body then I can just move the viewport out of the way while I save but thats a band-aid solution at best.
